'I Will Work For Governor Wike’s Re-Election' - Davido

A popular Nigerian musician, Mr. David Adeleke, also called Davido, on Sunday said he would work for Governor Nyesom Wike’s second term in office. The musician, who made the pledge in Port Harcourt when he visited the Rivers State Governor, said he would also institute a talent hunt show for Rivers-based artistes. He said the programme would be in line with his discussions with the state government to support new generation artistes in the state. The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the musician was in Port Harcourt for a musical show tagged: ‘Plugged’, where he was billed to perform alongside other Rivers-based artistes. “I am also here to see my godfather, Gov. Wike and to support his second term bid. “I am planning a talent hunt show in Port Harcourt, one of the lucky artistes will perform at my show in Lagos on December 27,” he said. A British tourist in Thailand claims he was drugged and robbed after he tried to take two women back to his hotel for a threesome. George Leece, 56, said he was walking back to his room in the early hours of Saturday when he began chatting a “beautiful” women and her friend on the street in Pattaya. George said he invited the women back to his room expecting a night of fun before his onward journey to Manila, Philippines. However, one girl backed out and George was left with her friend following him back to his room in an alleged ‘bait and switch’ scam. George, from Lancaster, Lancs., claims he woke up in the daze the next afternoon, and was allegedly missing £1,000 in cash, 3,000 Baht (£72.55) and a diamond encrusted crucifix necklace worth more than £2,000. Man Arrested For Allegedly Raping Lady In Lagos.

A 37-year old man, Chucks Okeleke, has landed in trouble after he engaged a 26-year old lady in a sex romp in Mushin area of Lagos and was arrested by the police for rape. The lady alleged that the suspect, Okeleke, penetrated her during the romp that lasted for some time before she realised herself. The police did not state how the romp turned into assault after Okeleke had engaged the victim in the act. Police sources alleged that the suspect lured the victim, got her confused by touching her breasts and engaged her in the romp having made her lose control. Thereafter, when she realised that Okeleke had penetrated her she went to the police and reported the alleged assault on her. The suspect was arrested and charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for sexual assault which is statutory rape under the law. Manchester United board have decided not to sack manager, Jose Mourinho, despite the Red Devils’ 3-1 defeat by Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday. Mourinho is under intense pressure at United following his side’s poor form of run so far this campaign. According to The Guardian, United’s hierarchy have decided that Mourinho’s future at Old Trafford is not under immediate threat following Sunday’s defeat to Jurgen Klopp’s men. The Presidency on Monday blamed former Nigerian president Goodluck Jonathan for current president Muhammadu Buhari’s delay in forming government cabinet. Buhari, sworn in on May 29, 2015, took over six months after to assemble his working cabinet – November 11. Although the president did not give reasons for the delay, over three years after, a presidential spokesman Gerba Shehu said the former government’s transition committee did not cooperate with Buhari. “That President Buhari took 166 days to form a cabinet is absolutely untrue. It took him time to form a cabinet because the outgoing administration in 2015 did not cooperate with the transition committee,” Shehu said while speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily.
